随着疫情的持续发酵，国际奥委会一直在面对来自各方的压力，推迟东京奥运会（原定于7月24日至8月9日）的呼声越来越高。

虽然推迟了一年，但本次奥运会仍将沿用“东京2020”奥运会的名称。

“国际奥委会主席和日本首相已经达成共识，为了保障运动员、以及所有参与奥运会的人员及国际社会的健康和安全，本届奥运会时间将调整到2020年以后，但不会晚于2021年夏天。”国际奥委会和2020年东京奥组委在声明中表示。

原定的奥运圣火传递 活动也因奥运会延期而随之取消。

“两位领导人一致认为，在这个困难时期，东京奥运会可以成为世界希望的灯塔 ，奥运圣火可以成为引领世界走向光明的希望之光。

因此，双方一致同意将奥运圣火留在日本。”

无法正常训练的运动员

历史上，奥运会从未在和平时代出现过延期。1916年、1940年和1944年，因世界大战，当年的奥运会被取消。

3月17日，日本奥林匹克大臣桥下彻表示，日本正计划“全面”举办奥运会，她接着解释说，也就是说东京奥运会将“准时开幕，且观众 会到现场助威”。

(CNN)Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach agreed Tuesday to postpone the Olympics until 2021.	日本首相安倍晋三与国际奥委会主席托马斯·巴赫周二沟通后，表示同意将奥运会 推迟 到2021年。
The IOC has been facing mounting pressure to delay the Games, which were originally scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 9, amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.	随着疫情的持续发酵，国际奥委会一直在面对来自各方的压力，推迟东京奥运会（原定于7月24日至8月9日）的呼声越来越高。
